11/18/08: Hey wine loving rock and rollers! Welcome to the RRC blog. This is where Stu and I will opine and, basically, tell you what to do. What gives us the right? Well, we are two regular bald guys who like wine and music, new and old. We are new to the winemaking world and don’t know how to blog. We don’t know if we should be serious or silly or if you, or any of your friends, find the fact that someone committed suicide outside of Paula Abdul’s house to be even remotely hilarious. Is that a non-sequitor? Shouldn’t we be talking about wine or music? Fine. Why do restaurants mark up crappy wine and serve in too warm and in glasses more appropriate for milk? Why do wait staff insist on continually topping off your glass, to the point where you can’t do the only thing in the world that might improve your crappy wine…swirl it in the glass? And, why serve amazing food, only to deliver buzz kill wine service? OMG, I’m blogging. Listen to the new discs by Ray Lamontagne and Ryan Adams. Think twice before paying hundreds for a pair of Coldplay tickets and get to know the genius bar on iTunes. 12/4/08: Did we tell you that we have named our next two releases? That’s right, our latest Pinot from Gap’s Crown in Sonoma will be called “Sweet Baby James” and our new Syrah is “American Girl”. Look for both of these releases in the coming months. Also, check out www.thedailybeast.com and go see…no, run to see “Milk” the movie. It’s great. Lastly, drink wine. It’s good for you.
